Created two years ago, the California Indian Nations College (CINC) empowers students to advance Native American cultures, languages, and sovereignties to promote vibrant Native, local, and global communities. They integrate Native American cultures, traditions, and languages in higher education. Their enrollment has doubled this year. Administrators say its appeal is due in part to its mission to provide educational opportunities that aren’t usually available to Native Americans.
